Measure, correct & report
Eff follows three steps to help you manage loudness requirements.
- We start by measuring the audio levels in the source file and comparing those with preconfigured profiles based on your deliverable requirements.
- These levels can then be adjusted up or down to meet your program loudness target and saved as a new, corrected file – while maintaining the quality of the original creative mix.
- Whether you’ve chosen to simply measure loudness or to measure and correct the levels in your chosen files, reporting is a critical part of the process. Graphs and logs showing where files have failed to meet the deliverable requirements, and what actions have been taken to correct them, are displayed in Eff’s interface and can be exported as PDF reports and XML log files.
The Eff Range
Eff Measure
Measure is the most basic version of Eff, but it’s also the most comprehensive measurement standards tool available today. Eff Measure reads any legacy or current parameters in media files with up to 16 channels of audio and provides value-based and graphic reports on loudness and PPM levels. It’s the perfect tool for cost-effective quality control.
Eff Comply
When measurement alone isn’t enough, use Eff Comply to correct and create multiple versions of your content. This tool contains all the features of Eff Measure but also provides the ability to adjust audio levels, and to create new files that comply to your QC standards. Eff Comply also includes our unique ‘DNA’ True Peak Processor tool and supports multi-file workflows, where a number of mono files have to be processed to calculate an overall loudness value from the combined files.
Eff Comply with Watch Folder
Automate your loudness compliance using Eff Comply with watch folders. While Eff Measure and Eff Comply are manually operated tools (where operators select files from a regular file-open dialogue, and measure and process those files) Eff Comply is also available with a watch folder for higher volume workflows. This option automatically processes files dropped into a watch folder based on the user’s profile settings.
